The 1st Shipment of Catechisms are Here!!!
“A Catechism Beside Us to Cross Check Society’s Guidance” Our first shipment of Catechisms are in!!! They will be available after all of the Masses (or until they run out). We could only get 100 in this first shipment but more are on the way. Be sure and get yours!!! Then when you wonder what the Church teaches about something, you can look it up. Too many people are trying to mislead us in regards to what our faith teaches.

Census Coming Real Soon – Finally
We will finally be starting our Parish Census soon. You will be receiving info on it in the mail in the next couple weeks. We area currently getting the website up to speed in regards to this project. Thanks for your patience.
Ashes On Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is on Feb. 17th. We will be giving out ashes but, due to the pandemic, we will be distributing them in a different manner. The Vatican has informed us that ashes are NOT to be placed on the forehead. Instead, the ashes will be sprinkled on top of your head. This is the way that ashes have always been given out in Italy. This allows ashes to be given out with people being touched. Thanks for your understanding.
Together as One
Let’s make sure to come Together as One! Make sure you pledge or make your gift this year to support adult and youth conferences and retreats, marriage preparation, religious education, and mental health assessments through Catholic Charities, just to name a few things! Our goal this year is $89,534. With your help, we will get there. You can give online, easily and safely, at www.scdiocese.org
Weekly Parish Updates on Facebook
I will be giving weekly updates (Fireside Chats) on our parish Facebook page (Mater Dei Parish Facebook). I will be discussing what is new in the parish and how things are moving along. If you are not already following our Facebook page, now is a good time to start.
Mater Dei Personal Products Pantry
Advent is a special time for making gifts to the pantry. During this season as we await the birth of Jesus Christ, you may bring your gifts to the altarbefore or after Mass. There will also be a basket at the altar marked for the pantry for monetary gifts. Thank you for sharing your gifts with those in need in our community.
